Solar-ready homestead water supply
Domestic clients often need reliable water without diesel dependence. This project type pairs a surveyed borehole with test-pumped yield data, a correctly sized pump, elevated storage and a solar array matched to real demand.
The sequence started with a hydrogeological survey to locate a viable drilling point and estimate depth and yield. Powerwell prepared the WRA permit application so drilling was authorised before the rig mobilised.
Drilling, logging and casing followed the survey log so screens sat in water-bearing zones. Development and a pumping test established the safe sustainable yield used to specify the submersible pump — not a guess from a neighbouring plot.
Solar design used the pump’s power rating, required daily run-time and site irradiance. Panels, mounting and controller were installed and commissioned as one system with tank float controls so the homestead has on-demand water.
