Elevated steel tank installation
A borehole that only runs while the pump is on is inconvenient. Elevated steel tanks buffer yield, provide gravity pressure and protect pumps from short-cycling.
Tank capacity was selected from daily demand, borehole yield and whether the site serves a home, farm or institution. Towers were founded and erected to the structural specification for the tank load and wind exposure.
Float switches stop the pump when the tank is full. Distribution connections run from the tower to points of use so pressure is available without keeping the pump in continuous duty.
This project type is typical of schools, clinics, estates and farms that need reserve water through the evening and during cloudy solar hours.
